COMPANY

Peltrería Balcells is a family company founded in 1952 by Joan Balcells. He was followed in the direction by his son Antonio Balcells along with his wife Conchita Blesa. After the pass away of Antonio Balcells, the foundry is now under the administration of Conchita Blesa.

Since its inception, the foundry has specialized in the treatment of high-quality aluminum, based on three pillars: QUALITY, SERVICE and PRICE.

Peltrería comes from pewter, in Spanish peltre. Pewter is an alloy of tin, copper, antimony and lead, widely used until the end of the 20th century in cutlery, crockery, costume jewelery and other small pieces. Production in the foundry began with this material, which gave it its name. At the end of the 1960s, pewter was gradually replaced by aluminum due to its superior qualities, being an infinitely recyclable material, characterized by its lightness and versatility.

Peltrería Balcells is part of the industrial fabric of the Barcelona belt, establishing its headquarters in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (C / Cobalt 24).
